I was born on or about September 4, 1999, in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, right between 2 Hurricanes. On September 13, I got separated from my mother, a stray, and spent the day alone in the cold, wet weather. Around 11:00 pm that night, Deb heard me crying outside and brought me into her warm home. I call her Mama now.
"I'm so glad we found her! I got to bottle feed her and take care of her. She loves her 'daddy' now."
We took her to the Vet and were taught how to properly care for her. It was like having a baby in the house! (Well we DID have a baby in the house) Feedings every 3 hours, constant attention, making sure she was warm enough.

We think this may be my mother.
She is one of the wild cats in the neighborhood and has had a couple of litters this year. She likes to get away from her babies and take a snooze on our porch.

"Her eyes weren't even open yet! Rob and I brought her in and gave her some warm milk and caro syrup. We then put her to bed in a cardboard box filled with rabbit skins. The next morning, we put her out on our patio, hoping her mother would reclaim her. Although, several of the wild cats came up to investigate, one even moving her a few feet, none took her away. We knew then that we would have to take care of her."
